GENERAL PROJECT

Eppleby Sewage Treatment Works Upgrade

We are investing £2.5 million to improve the performance of our sewage treatment works at Eppleby. The work will involve an upgrade of the inlet system, process units and flow monitoring. This will aid NWL in improving the quality of rivers and coastal waters for the benefit of people, the environment and wildlife.

Update by Bethany Oakley

Good morning,

I hope you are well and having a good week.

Further to my previous update, I’m happy to confirm that works are progressing as planned and I can report the following achievements made by the Site Team: -

  • The HST has passed the water test.
  • All concrete chambers are installed awaiting completion.
  • We have commenced the ductile iron work from the pumping station.
  • The NPG kiosk is now installed.
  • We have commenced the MCC trough, this sits underneath the MCC panel and houses all the new cables.
  • We are hoping to have all excavation works complete prior to the Xmas break, with sub-contractors starting in the new year.

As you can see, the Team on Site have been very busy!

If you would like to ask us any questions regarding the works, then please don’t hesitate to add a comment in the box below and a member of the Project Team will respond accordingly.

Take care,

Bethany
