Escomb Rising Main

Project to replace a failing pumping main from Escomb Pumping Station to Etherley Moor.

Update by Sarah Jayne Parvin

Good morning, a quick update to let you know that the traffic management has been removed yesterday from Etherley Moor Lane. No further traffic manaement is expected. Last week i was asked about the footpath and i advised we were constructing a manhole within the footpath. We expect the foot path will reopen in March.

I have included some pictures below to show the 100mm ductile iron pipework installed under the iron footbridge to carry new sewer across weardale railway, the pipe is hung from the wooden joists to preserve the listed ironwork bridge structure.

Thank you for your patience, and as always any questions please us the contact us at the top of the page.
