GENERAL PROJECT

Great Ayton Water Booster Station

Northumbrian Water are planning to carry out work between January 2022 and March 2022 at Great Ayton Water Booster Station (WBS). The project represents a £130,000 investment which will see a mechanical and electrical refurbishment of the WBS.

Update by Simon Cossar

Morning all,

The new booster is working well and doing a good job at managing and stabilising the pressure in Great Ayton.

However, we have discovered a small glitch behind the scenes that means we need to make a small change. This change will mean taking the new booster offline and running on the old one for a day next week, Wednesday 2nd August. You may see a small fluctuation in pressures during the change over from new to old and then back again. The work should be complete within the day and then we will leave the new one running for a few more weeks before we start the removal of the old station.

You should receive a text message informing you of this work before we start,

Best regards,

Simon.
