Project updates

Update by Joan Tatters

Good Afternoon Everyone,

It has been a while since we last blogged so here goes.....

Since Sarah's last update and the customer event the project team have been working to determine the design and the construction of the contact tank. I know you will appreciate it is not a small project so, it's taking some time, longer than anticipated.

With that in mind the project has been delayed, this means the major site work will not be commencing in April 2019 as planned.

We will keep you informed on timescales on the project in due course so please watch this space for future updates.

Thank you all for your patience during this time.

Update by Sarah Jayne Parvin

Good morning everyone, hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who managed to make it to our event last Wednesday. We had a brilliant turn out and collected many comments and feedback that we will take into consideration, on our proposed works. Even had a few giggles along the way, with jokes provided by the local Santa. Just wish we had planned it for Fish and Chip van Monday!

For anyone who couldn’t make it but would like to discuss you can contact me on sarahjayne.vickers@jnbentley.co.uk.

We will keep you posted on the progress of the planned works on the portal and be in touch closer to the start date to keep you up to date and fully informed.

Thanks

Sarah

Update by Sarah Jayne Parvin

Hi All, im Sarah one of the Customer Liaison Officers for this site working alongside Joan Tatters (Customer Liaison Officer) and  our Contract Manager Lee Cox.

You may have seen me around a couple of weeks ago, hand delivering letters to invite you all along to our customer event being held today at 4pm in Gunnerton Church. I must say what a quiet and beautiful place the village is, and i even managed to have discussions with a few of the local residents. I have included a picture of myself and a few other members of the team as well as a couple of snaps i got on my trip out to Gunnerton.

Please feel free to come along and meet with the team managing and delivering the work.

We look forward to meeting you

Regards

Sarah

Update by Victoria Jobling

Hello,

My name is Victoria and I will be managing the upgrade project on the existing water treatment works at Gunnerton, on behalf of Northumbrian Water.

The project roughly follows a two year programme, due to start in September this year. This work will aim to improve the site's over all resilience in terms of both treatment and supply and help ensure safe, reliable drinking water for the communities it serves for years to come.

Our collaborative project team comprises designers and contractors from our framework partners, as well as engineering, conservation and estates advice from our in-house experts. We look forward to updating you very soon and welcome any feedback you may have.
