Starting in February 2024, as part of a £4.3 million scheme, we will be carrying out essential work to improve the performance of our New Moors wastewater treatment works in Evenwood Gate. The scheme will help to improve the water quality of Hummer Beck, as well as the watercourses downstream.

We are happy to let you know that progress on site continues to planned programme dates. We have now taken delivery of the tertiary solids removal equipment as seen in the picture, and this is the last of the major equipment now delivered to site.
The main focus is now on the civil works to do in preparation for the mechanical and electrical installations which is due to start in July, with much of the below ground works now being complete.
