Project updates

Update by Joan Tatters

Good Afternoon,

Just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know "yes" we are about done now, the team are currently "finishing off" although there still is some reinstating to do during the Spring so we are not fully out of your hair......haha!!

Everything has gone well and I would just like to say on behalf of the site team, it has been a pleasure, all the residents have been so accommodating and understanding which we so appreciate and the lads have enjoyed the odd cuppa or two!!!

So on behalf of the Project Team I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy 2019.

Good Afternoon,

Just thought I'd send you all some photos on how things have progressed on the project. Whilst we hit one or two underground issues, we are just about complete. Peter and the team have battled on through the crazy weather and the end is definitely in sight.

Thank you once again the residents your patience and co-operation is so appreciated.

Good Morning Everyone,

Hope you all had a good week end.

You will have probably noticed we have tweaked the traffic light position slightly on the bank top, I'm sure it won't have caused too much of an issue (I'm sure some won't have noticed) but it will be helping some residents to access their home a little more easier.

Well it goes without saying we have hit the infamous "rock", however, not to worry Peter and his team are well on programme and are ticking along quick nicely.

This week I will be visiting the residents to discuss the "Tie ins" so if you are about please come and say Hello!

Good Morning

I am sure you are very aware.........we have arrived there are signs and fencing everywhere.

Peter and his team have started the compound set up and the traffic lights are fully operationally now so if you are out and about please be that little more vigilant.

I have just included a couple of photos, sorry they seem a little dark, it was early doors when I took them.

Don't forget please feel free to drop me a line or ask the guys on site if you have any questions.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Just thought I'd touch base with you and thank the residents of North Bank, it was lovely chatting to you yesterday. Just a timely reminder, Peter and his team will be starting work Monday 8th October. I know he has introduced himself personally to you all, and thanked you all in advance for your co-operation and understanding whilst we work near your home. We will as promised try to keep our presence to a minimum. Don't forget that Peter and his team will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the project and I will be up to Belford every Wednesday if you want to discuss anything with me.

See you on Wednesday,

Joan

Good Morning,

I thought it timely to introduce our team who will be conducting the work at North Bank on behalf of Northumbrian Water Group.

We are Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) and we have been working alongside NWG for some considerable time now and we are pleased to be starting this project on Monday 24th September.  We do recognise there will be some disruption to the residents however our team are very experienced with this kind of situation and they will ensure the impact will be kept to a minimum at all times.

Every week I will be calling in to see how the project is developing and our team will continually liaise with you direct most probably daily so please feel free to ask us any questions you may have.

So here goes......the team.........

Peter Owen   -  Site Manager, Peter will be looking after the day to day operations of the project

James Dowell  -  Site Engineer, James has helped to design the work so you will see him from time to time.

Joan Tatters  -  Customer Liaison Officer, and I will be on site Wednesday afternoons for the full duration of the project.

I will post the project update every week to keep you all informed of the progress, however should you want to ask any questions you can always blog here on the portal or click the "Contact Us" button.

We are looking forward to working in this beautiful part of the region.

See you all soon

Update by Paul Brewis

Hi, although I’ve met the majority of customers who I believe will be viewing this site. I still have to introduce myself. So here it is I’m Paul Brewis Project Manager Technician for Northumbrian Water (NW) and responsible for North Bank Belford project.

I have over 30 years’ experience with NW and my speciality if I can call it a speciality is sewers. I spent 27 years’ in Technical Support dealing with customers resolving reactive issues with sewers before moving into Asset Investment department to help manage the proactive rehabilitation of sewers.

For the last two years I have been managing my own projects and I hope this project goes as well as the others I have managed to date.

We’ve identified a solution and myself and the rest of the project team will be keeping you updated of our plans and progress.
