Roseberry Crescent, Great Ayton Flood Alleviation

We are working with the community to explore opportunities to reduce the risk of flooding. The proposed works are located along Roseberry Crescent, Roseberry Road, Roseberry Avenue, Wheatlands and Newton Road, Great Ayton and within the site which forms part of the estate of Cleveland Lodge. The proposed works involve the installation of approximately 1300m of surface water and foul water sewer for the purpose of flood alleviation. Proposed works are also to involve the construction of a SuDS basin for surface water attenuation.

Update by Christine Taylor

Good morning and happy Monday,

I was on site last week, along with my colleague Becky to speak to some residents.  As of Wednesday this week, the 29 January 2020, we will be moving up to the next section of Wheatlands.  As you will have guessed, yes this is our final section!!

Don't worry, if you are to be impacted by this section of works, me and my team will have been in touch; in person, by phone or letter.

Where we are currently working, we will be tarmacing on Tuesday, to enable us to move on Wednesday.  As we progress up towards the junction of Orchard Close, we have notified residents that we will maintain access to the close.  To ensure this is possible we will be using a priority system when working on the manhole.

Our works on this section will take approximately 5 weeks.

As always, please feel free to contact me if you want to discuss our works further.

Christine
