GENERAL PROJECT

Scripton Bridge

We are investing around £3 million to make water network improvements in County Durham. The project involves the installation of a new valve configuration to the South West of Brandon Village. This arrangement will allow us to manage the flows in such a way that will provide resilience to the Spennymoor area.

Planned Work

Improving the water network in the County Durham area is one of our top priorities, as part of this commitment, we are looking to invest £3 million to provide resilience through the network into the Spennymoor area.

By constructing this valve arrangement, we will ensure we can provide resilience to the water services that meet the needs of current and future generations in an ever-changing world.

Construction works will take place to the South West of Brandon Village, Durham from June 2024 until January 2025. Construction plant will arrive via the A690 before turning onto Scripton Gill Rd to access the site.
