Sherburn Upgrade

Starting in 2020, as part of a £8 million scheme, we will be carrying out essential work to improve the performance and flexibility of our wastewater network and wastewater treatment works in the Pittington and Sherburn areas of County Durham. The scheme will help to improve the water quality of the Coalford and Sherburn Becks, as well as the watercourses downstream. We are yet to confirm an exact date when the works will commence, however once we do we will contact you to ensure you’re kept informed and made aware of any possible disruption.

Pipeline route

The drawing of the likely pipeline route is for information only and is subject to change and does not require planning permission.

At present we are yet to finalise a construction commencement date, however this is likely to be in the Summer, however we will confirm this closer to the date.

We’d really like to hear your views on this essential work and how we can work with you to minimise any disruption you and your community may experience.

If you have any queries or comments or would like to speak to someone from the project team please get in touch using the ‘Contact us’ button at the top of the page. We’d really like to hear from you.
