GENERAL PROJECT

Washington Sewage Treatment Works Refurbishment

As part of a £14 million investment, we will be carrying out work to improve the performance and reliability of Washington Sewage Treatment Works. This work will ensure it continues to provide the highest standards of service for the local community.

Good Morning, our third and final concrete pour is planned for the 27^th May.

A total of 570m3 of concrete will have been poured to form the base of the three new Final Settlement Tanks.

The final pour will take place on 27th May, and as before, we expect the shift to run into the night as the concrete needs to set to a point where it can be walked on and power floated to give a smooth finish. Some low-level lighting equipment on-site provides safe access/egress to the works area and noise when the power float is used throughout the shift.
