GENERAL PROJECT

Kelloe Upgrade

Starting in Autumn 2022, as part of a £6.4 million scheme, we will be carrying out essential work to improve the performance of our wastewater treatment works in Kelloe. The scheme will help to improve the water quality of the Coxhoe Beck, as well as the watercourses downstream. We are yet to confirm an exact date when the works will commence, however this is likely to be early October 2022 to commence ground stabilisation works, however we will confirm this closer to the date.

Update by Rachel Rutter

Good afternoon,

Last week the crew completed their investigation work to the watermain. They reduced ground levels and removed spoil from site, in the area of the proposed new tertiary treatment plant.

This week the crew are currently installing scaffold to the redundant primary tank in preparation for refurbishment works. Following the scaffold install we will be removing the existing scum boards, diffuser drum and associated metal work.

Please contact us direct if you have any questions at nwl.customer@esh.uk.com or 0191 3774500.

Thank you

Rachel
