GENERAL PROJECT

Kelloe Upgrade

Starting in Autumn 2022, as part of a £6.4 million scheme, we will be carrying out essential work to improve the performance of our wastewater treatment works in Kelloe. The scheme will help to improve the water quality of the Coxhoe Beck, as well as the watercourses downstream. We are yet to confirm an exact date when the works will commence, however this is likely to be early October 2022 to commence ground stabilisation works, however we will confirm this closer to the date.

Good morning all and a Happy New Year!

You may have seen myself and my colleague Annah in the area this week, having a look at the Kelloe Sewerage Treatment Works and the progress the team are making.

Since returning back to work after Christmas the crew have completed the duct installation and finished the chemical dosing slab (let’s hope their wrapping up warm in this weather).

The crew continue to progress with work before testing stages take place. Come back next week for further updates.
