GENERAL PROJECT

Kelloe Upgrade

Starting in Autumn 2022, as part of a £6.4 million scheme, we will be carrying out essential work to improve the performance of our wastewater treatment works in Kelloe. The scheme will help to improve the water quality of the Coxhoe Beck, as well as the watercourses downstream. We are yet to confirm an exact date when the works will commence, however this is likely to be early October 2022 to commence ground stabilisation works, however we will confirm this closer to the date.

Good morning,

Last week the team completed the initial service investigation works. They have started cutting the concrete along the line of the excavation for the sludge returns drainage.

This week works will see them breaking out the concrete and carrying out excavation works for the sludge returns drainage installation.

Good afternoon,

Carrying on from the previous update the team have been carrying out excavation works within the main sewage works to determine depths and locations of existing services, that we will be crossing with the new underground pipelines and ducts. These works are ongoing.

Once the above investigation works are complete, they will be moving onto installation of underground pipework and associated manholes from the proposed final tanks to the site returns well. This will be toward the end of next week.

Pipework and manholes are due for delivery to site next week which will see a small increase in HGVs visiting site to deliver the materials.

If anyone would like to discuss our works in more detail, please feel free to contact us by commenting on this post or sending an email to nwl.customer@esh.uk.com.

Have a great weekend!

We are now finalising our plans, and although our revised planning drawings are not yet complete, we do have a proposed new site layout, which incorporates the additional land we propose to purchase. Apologies as this drawing does contain a lot of technical detail, however this will be removed from the planning drawings.
