Update by Joan Tatters

Good Afternoon,

As you know, work started in April 2019 on the project to improve the resilience and performance of the existing Sewage Treatment Works on the east bank of Wooler Water off Weetwood Road. The work undertaken has comprised the provision of additional process units to serve the increasing population and provide an enhancement of the treatment process to improve environmental protection for the years to come.

We are pleased to advise that all the construction work is now complete. You may have noticed the access track into the works has been resurfaced and the gates and boundary fencing realigned to improved safety. With the current Covid-19 situation we are unable to remove skips and welfare cabins, as soon as the situation improves and suppliers return to work these items will be removed from site, I will let you know in due course.

Thank you for your co-operation and patience during our work we really do appreciate it, and should you want to discuss this further or just ask a question about the project please feel free.

Everyone on this project would like to take this opportunity to say "thank you" for your patience and support throughout this work.
