Bense Bridge Sewer restoration

We are carrying out works to the existing pumping station to enhance performance. The works will consist of refurbishment work to repair an existing asset that has deteriorated. This is essential work to reduce the risk of flooding from the upstream network. This investment will increase resilience and enhance the service we provide to our customers

8am – 6pm

Will my water supply be affected?

No

Will the work cause disruption?

There shall be a marginal increase in traffic along Thirsk Road

Will access to my property be maintained?

Yes

How will I be kept updated?

Updates by the project team shall be posted on the community portal.

Will the site be dangerous?

The site will be operated by an experienced contractor working to tight health and safety standards. Entry will not be permitted to members of the public

What will it look like when the works are complete?

There will be no visible change.

Will there be dust, vibration and noise?

The construction work will involve the use of machinery, cutting equipment, digging up ground and working with granular materials which will result in some dust, vibration and noise. The site team will do everything they can to minimise any inconvenience caused by this and will make sure that the work is carried out safely. We are already taking stapes to minimise any impact from the existing equipment installed on site

Will the roads be kept clean during the works?

Yes
