Good Morning,

By now you will have noticed we are complete on this project, that said I understand there is some internal ground works being done (you probably won't see or notice the difference) in and around the site.

As promised I am happy to show you some great progress photos taken by Mark, they demonstrate the replanting has taken which is great news. The wildlife must be loving this new environment.

Just thought I'd pop on and say whilst the project is coming to a close I will send out some more photos as the reed beds develop and become more established.

Good Morning All,

Well the time has come, we will be finished and off site by the end of the week.

Mark and his team have done a great job, even though it has been a tricky process with lots of obstacles in the way, the major one being the weather. 

So just to let you know what happened last week:-

• The landscaping around the lagoons were seeded
• The fencing at the gates on the access track complete
• Stoned up the track by the bridleway
• Removed the sludge that was taken to be recycled into fertiliser
• Taken down the fencing on site

Good Morning All,

Well I thought I'd let you know the "end is in sight", Mark and the team have finished off the transplanting and the 4 lagoons are all currently up and running, which is a great milestone on this project. Waiting for the results of the sludge drying bed will determine if we can call time so we are just waiting for that information.

This week, the fencing on either side of the gates at the bridleway will be made good and the herras fencing will be removed and the access track between the gates will be restoned. A general tidy up around the site will take place, including the cleaning of the road down to the compound then removing all other temporary fencing. Mark's guys will conduct the landscaping around the lagoons to reinstate the area, that job would always be weather dependant so lets hope this great weather continues.

Just a couple of photos, following on from my post a couple of weeks ago.

Good Morning All,

Just a quick up date about our return, works progressing well in Reed Bed 4. We hope to remove the sludge by the end of this week (weather permitting) which will allow us to start the transplanting. Fingers crossed the planting takes and we should be complete Bed 4 by early Spring when all will be left will be the reinstating of the surrounding area.

If you have been out and about last week you will have noticed, we are back working on site. Northumbrian Water have now commissioned us (MMB) to complete the refurb of the final reed bed on this project.  We anticipate we will have the project completed at Springtime.

The local pathway between the beds will remain open as previously and we are once again we will have the signs displayed bringing the access arrangement to your attention, so please be vigilant. The banksman will again be in place ensuring your safe right of way whilst you enjoy the surrounding countryside nearby.

"I recognise the effort your lads are putting in, and they are doing a brilliant job , so cheers to them . It must be debilitating working with all the safety gear on during the summer months, wish them well for the long winter months".
