Good Afternoon Cotherstone

Tonight is your big "switch on" of the Christmas trees, sorry I can't be there (I'm attempting to travel to Scotland for the weekend). We all hope it goes well and I know one or two of you will be sending me some photos.

NWG are really proud to offer sponsorship for the main tree and support for the primary school's visit to the theatre later this month. The project team has done nothing but sing Cotherstone's praises during this project and this is a huge "THANK YOU" to you all for your co-operation and understanding during our work.

Hope you have a lovely evening and the weather is kind.

Have a lovely weekend.

Good Afternoon

Things are progressing well at Balder Bridge, Cotherstone. Linestopping has allowed us to remove both of the distribution mains along with some redundant pipework and assorted debris. The 24" raw water main has been lowered,  temporarily onto its original supports and has been internally cleaned  to provide a suitable host for the new pipe insertion. The bridge itself has been fully encapsulated to protect the environment during grit blasting to clean the structural metalwork which will begin this week. The two pics attached show close ups of the existing 24" and structural metalwork before being encapsulated.

More updates to follow

Hi

Just an update..........

As I haven't been for a few weeks Terry tells me the scafolding across the river is progressing nicely and within the next

few weeks he and his team will be installing the bypass pipework. Once this has been installed we can then start dismantling the existing old pipework on the bridge

then you will notice a difference in it's appearance.

Watch this space for photos!!!

Good Morning to you all,

Thought it a good idea to say thank you to the residents near our site who were kind enough to allow us to park our vehicles temporarily adjacent to their homes.

We really appreciate your co-operation, so Terry and I personally visited some of you.

The two gentlemen who wanted a "viewing platform", I'm so sorry but for health and safety reasons we felt it not the right thing to do........sorry! That said your

"craic" and knowledge was great..........I got into trouble from Terry talking too long with you as he was really busy that day. Ooops!!

Have a great day

Good Afternoon Residents of Cotherstone,

I hope you are all well and enjoying the improved weather.

Terry and his team have been working hard preparing the site for the work to start on the Pipe Bridge. The gradient in the field

is proving to be a bit of a challenge and Terry is taking extra care to make sure the turning area for the vehicles remains safe and within the confines

of the field. With that in mind you will notice a little more vehicles delivering stones and Monday concrete will be delivered to reinforce the haul road. Please be more vigilant if you are near by.f

Terry is really conscious he has been parking his vehicle near to one or two of your homes, he has asked me to thank you for your co-operation and patience. I understand he is popping in to see you this afternoon to personally say "thank you".

I'll keep you all up to date with the progress of the work, however in the meanwhile if you have any questions please fire away.

Have a lovely weekend.
