We are upgrading the sewer network. This will increase the resilience and reliability of the network and will involve up sizing 240 meters of existing sewer pipe in the area of Wood Vue and the nearby Cow Plantation Nature Reserve. We will work closely with the local authority regarding the reinstatement of the nature reserve when the works are completed.
NORTHUMBRIAN WATER WORKING WITH THEIR SUPPLY PARTNERS ESH-MWH ARE CARRYING OUT SEWER WORKS IN YOUR AREA.
We will be working in your area upsizing 240 metres of existing sewer pipe. To allow us to carry out this work, a rolling road closure will be in place along Wood Vue, opposite the football ground. We will be in close communication with local residents.
Within the plantation we will be carrying out some essential upgrading to the sewer overflow which is situated in the Cow Plantation. We will work closely with the local authority regarding the reinstatement of the nature reserve when the works are completed.
The works were due to start on the 16 October 2017 and be completed by the end of April 2018.
Residents will of received a letter explaining that these works have been delayed and now due to start on the 30 October 2017. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
