GENERAL PROJECT

Hustledown Sewage Treatment Works Upgrade

We are investing £4m to improve the performance of our sewage treatment works at Hustledown. The work will involve the installation of new equipment which will provide additional chemical removal before the final effluent is discharged. This will aid NWL in improving the quality of rivers and coastal waters for the benefit of people, the environment and wildlife.

Update by Alice Blackett

Good Afternoon

Since the last update, the Rising Main has now been successfully tested by an independent testing company and all ducts and draw pits are now constructed.

The above allows cable pulling to commence which is the connection of the existing works to the newly constructed works. This will allow the new works to be powered up and be controlled remotely.

The new pumping station pumps and overground DI pipework/valve chamber works are to commence this week.

Please contact us direct if you have any questions at nwl.customer@esh.uk.com

Have a lovely week!

Alice
