GENERAL PROJECT

Hustledown Sewage Treatment Works Upgrade

We are investing £4m to improve the performance of our sewage treatment works at Hustledown. The work will involve the installation of new equipment which will provide additional chemical removal before the final effluent is discharged. This will aid NWL in improving the quality of rivers and coastal waters for the benefit of people, the environment and wildlife.

Update by Alice Blackett

Good Afternoon all and happy Friday!

Construction of the new road is now well underway from the new Flow Meter Chamber to the Mecana Filter units.

The pipework to the Pumping Station is currently being installed and all cable pulling is now complete. These works will allow us to change flows to the new system at the end of September, all being well.

The concrete footpath to the outside of the new MCC Kiosk has also been completed today.
