To improve the resilience and enhance the performance of the sewer network in the Kielder catchment Northumbrian Water is investing in improving sewage disposal in the Yarrow Moor vicinity. This work will ensure we deliver sewerage services that meet the needs of current and future generations whilst improving the quality of our rivers and watercourses for the benefit of people, the environment and wildlife.
LOOKING AFTER THE ENVIRONMENT IS ONE OF OUR TOP PRIORITIES. WE ARE GOING TO INVEST IN A PROJECT TO INCREASE CATCHMENT RESILIANCE ADDRESSING THE ONGOING SEPTIC TANK DISCHARGE ISSUES FOR THE BENEFIT OF OUR CUSTOMERS, THE ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE.
Over the coming months we will investigate options to address environmental risk and dam integrity. This project will improve the performance of the drainage network serving the cottages, as the project continues to develop, we will share our ideas with you to understand your views about this work and how we can minimise any disruption that you may experience once the construction work is underway.
