The construction phase of this project is now complete.
There may still be updates, so the project will remain here. We are still monitoring the project and will reply to any comments. So if you have any questions please feel free to comment or contact us here.
We are investing £2.5 million to separate Marden Quarry and other sources of surface water from the public sewer network. This will improve the performance of our sewer network and help reduce the risk of flooding. This project is the second and final phase of work being carried out in North Cullercoats.
Our interactive map below shows where and when we'll be working in the highway and what impact this may have on road users.

Doxford Drive Traffic Management
Updated 26th October- unfortunately this work is taking longer than expected due to a level clash with an existing underground service. We are working hard to overcome the issue asap. Apologies for the additional delays.
We are currently completing the last section of work on Doxford Drive. We will be completing reinstatements over the next few days and expect to have the road final surfaced on Tuesday 31st October. The road closure should be removed Tuesday night.
If any party wishes to discuss this further please feel free to call into our Site Customer Centre and speak with our Site Management.
Many Thanks
