Update by Ian Davison

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our team and project.

I am Ian Davison, Northumbrian Water Project Manager, and I will be looking after this scheme through to its completion. The scheme will be delivered by Northumbrian Water’s delivery partner Esh-Stantec.

The initial concept stage is complete and we are moving into the definition phase, working towards getting the construction phase underway in the Spring of 2024 with completion anticipated in April 2025. We are working with communities to proactively manage environmental risks and are committed to providing a high quality service. The team have identified opportunities to improve network resilience in the sewer network to reduce the likelihood of environmental incidents at the 5 locations listed.

We will be keeping you updated as our plans progress by sharing our proposals with you on this portal. The project team will be working in partnership with all of our external stakeholders to ensure a successful project outcome.

We’d like to hear from you if you have any feedback about our proposal or want to make us aware of any drainage issues in your area. Please leave your comments on this update, or get in touch using the ‘Contact us’ button at the top of the page, I am very interested to understand your views.
