GENERAL PROJECT

Blyth - Bates Avenue (Tallie Drive, Blyth)

We are planning work on the sewer network to reduce the risk of flooding and improve the performance of the sewers in Blyth.

Update by Sarah Jayne Parvin

Hi all, it has been a while since our last update so here is our recent progress.

On site we have begun to install the new 450mm overflow line, this is situated between the existing pumping station overflow chamber and the combined sewer overflow.
We have continued to construct the screen building. The gas membrane is now installed to the screen walls and the backfill around the channel is now complete. The pad foundations are being constructed which involves shuttering and steel fixing to support the steel portal frame building.

Over at Malvins Road we have successfully installed the weir wall and pipe and all areas have been reinstated.

Thanks
