GENERAL PROJECT

Blyth - Bates Avenue (Tallie Drive, Blyth)

We are planning work on the sewer network to reduce the risk of flooding and improve the performance of the sewers in Blyth.

Update by Anya Lowes

Good afternoon, I just wanted to give an update on our works on site.

We have now installed the 1050mm pipe from Man hole 2 to the Combined Sewer Overflow, which is the deepest pipe on the site being 4.5/5m.
This allows us to install the steel reinforced base and the 5m sectional manhole rings, bringing the CSO up out of the ground to the surface and placing a lid on it.

The steel portal frame building is now erected. It has been stoned up to level inside, ducts installed and the gas membrane has been installed to the base, allowing for the steel fixers and concreters to come in and install the 300mm base to the screening building.

Thanks
