GENERAL PROJECT

Wark on Tyne Sewage Treatment Works upgrade

Working with our framework partner, MMB, we are investing £3M to improve the performance of our sewage treatment works at Wark on Tyne village.

Update by Julie Oakley

Good afternoon,

I thought I would touch base with an update on the treatment works in your area as it has been a few weeks since I updated the portal, so here goes:

The Humus tank will be landed by the end of this week, with plans to start backfilling and completing pipe connections over the next few weeks. Inlet over pumping will be up and running by the end of this week as well, allowing us to carry out storm tank modifications, swap the existing pumps for new ones, and complete a large section of electrical work and commissioning. The top section of site is being civilised and finished with a few footpaths and topsoiling.

I would like to thank you foir for your continued support and patience while the works are progressing butif you have any questions or issues please donot hesitate in contacting us on the details provided or leave a message below.

Thanks

Julie
