GENERAL PROJECT

Warkworth Stanners SPS Refurbishment

Warkworth Stanners Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) is in close proximity to the River Coquet and is prone to flooding, therefore it requires an upgrade to comply with NWG’s commitment to deliver investment that increases its wastewater resilience. We will be investing £600k refurbishing the SPS to protect the environment in Warkworth, and work will be undertaken together with our supply partner, RetroFlo.

Project updates

Update by Christopher Bond

Hi Everyone

Following the work we have been doing alongside our contractor, RetroFlo, we now have the final design for the essential refurbishment works to our underground Sewerage Pumping Station (SPS) at Warkworth Stanners and will be starting on site Thursday 3rd October.

As a reminder, the works will involve repair and refurbishment work to the SPS and conversion work to create a wet well and take up to four months to complete. Whilst the works are being undertaken, we will need to take around 15 car parking spaces to allow for our cabins and machinery. We have re-allocated parking spaces, as required, following discussions with Northumberland County Council.

In the meantime, if you have any queries or comments or would like to speak to someone from the project team please get in touch using the ‘Contact us’ button at the top of the page. We’d really like to hear from you.
