Whitton Village Sewer Diversion

Northumbrian Water is looking to investing £2M to improve the resilience and enhance the performance of the sewer network in Whitton Village Northumberland.

Update by Sarah Jayne Vickers

Good Morning, we would just like to take this time to provide you with a quick update.

We are continuing to make progress with our investigation works. Trial holes on Whitton Bank are completed, we are now working our way along the Hamlet (unnaned road) and will continue to do so over the next couple of weeks. These investigations are part of the essential upgrades to the sewer network in the area, to ensure we can supply a reliable wastewater service now and into the future.

We will continue to monitor and follow UK Government guidance regarding the emerging situation of Covid-19.

We are committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of our operatives and customers, our staff are all maintaining a social distance of two metres and we ask that during this difficult time that you also maintain a social distance from our staff.

I'll continue to update you all on how the works progress but in the meantime, please don't hesitate to contact me on you have any questions or concerns.

The Government guidance can be found following the link below.
