Whitton Village Sewer Diversion

Northumbrian Water is looking to investing £1M to improve the resilience and enhance the performance of the sewer network in Whitton Village Northumberland.

Meet the team

HI EVERYONE, MY NAME IS IAN DAVISON AND I AM THE PROJECT MANAGER FOR WORK WE ARE PLANNING ON CARRYING OUT IN YOUR AREA.

Northumbrian Water are working with communities to proactively manage environmental risk. We are committed to providing a high quality service and have identified an opportunity to improve our sewer network to address a recently identified environmental issue. We are investigating the abandonment of an outfall into the River Coquet by intercepting the existing sewer and redirecting it into the Rothbury sewer network. I know how important the conservation of this area is to residents and visitors, so while this is a delicate project, it will be handled with care and we will be working in partnership with all of our stakeholders to ensure a successful outcome.

Myself and the rest of the project team will be keeping you updated as our plans progress. Notional solution drawings will be posted at the “planned works” tab in due course. We’d like to hear from you if you have any feedback about our proposal or want to make us aware of any drainage issues in your area. Please leave your comments on this update, or get in touch using the ‘Contact us’ button at the top of the page.
