Wooler Water Treatment Works

As part of our ongoing investment programme and to ensure the highest level of customer service, we are constructing a new Water Treatment Works (WTW) at Wooler, Northumberland. The new WTW is located in the town of Wooler, at a site opposite Berwick Road Industrial Estate . The main construction phase commenced in summer 2020 and was substantially completed in autumn 2021. Final commissioning to bring the new WTW into service is currently scheduled to run through until autumn 2022.

Hi everyone

A brief update to let you know that we have some site investigation works ongoing on site during February. There will be a team on site throughout February stripping topsoil and inspecting the ground. This is preparatory investigation work, in advance of the main construction. The main construction is currently planned to commence later in the spring once we have all necessary approvals in place.

Once we have the necessary planning and other approvals in place, we will provide further updates to confirm our construction programme. We will continue to provide project updates on this portal.
