Wooler Water Treatment Works

As part of our ongoing investment programme and to ensure the highest level of customer service, we are constructing a new Water Treatment Works (WTW) at Wooler, Northumberland. The new WTW is located in the town of Wooler, at a site opposite Berwick Road Industrial Estate . The main construction phase commenced in summer 2020 and was substantially completed in autumn 2021. Final commissioning to bring the new WTW into service is currently scheduled to run through until autumn 2022.

Just to keep you all in the loop as to where we are:-

Well it does look as though nothing is happening on site now, however there are some works going on within the grounds, snagging etc as well as behind the scenes to bring the project to a close.

The team are currently doing some remedial works which will take approximately 6wks then there will be some commissioning to complete so work is anticipated to be complete in the Spring.
