Update by Sarah Jayne Parvin
Hi All, we would like to provide an update regarding the reinstatement works in your area.
As noted in our January letter, certain areas were planned for follow-up works this spring. Unfortunately, we have experienced significant delays due to an exceptionally wet season extending from 2023 into this spring. This has prevented the landscaping teams from completing their work as the ground remains too wet to track on with the landscaping vehicles and machinery.
Specifically, we acknowledge the delays in reinstating the grass areas between Langdon Way and Lartington Way, and the Egglescliffe School running track and Yarm School Field on Aislaby Road. Despite weekly site evaluations by our landscaping subcontractor, the ground conditions have not improved sufficiently to proceed without risking further damage to these areas.
We are pleased to report, the conditions have recently improved enough to allow for the partial reinstatement of the Egglescliffe School's running track. Unfortunately, the surrounding fields, similar to the rest of the site, remain too wet for any work to be carried out.
We understand the inconvenience caused and sincerely apologise for the lack of recent updates on our community portal. We are closely monitoring the situation and will keep you informed of any changes.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
