Project to replace a failing pumping main from Aislaby Road Pumping Station to Allens West, Eaglescliffe.
The scheme comprises approximately one mile of new rising main (pressurised) sewer 500mm diameter pipe from Aislaby Road Pumping Station and reconnecting into the existing main adjacent to Allens West Train Station. The route will mainly be located within farmland/grassland but will also cross Aislaby Road and the A67. The new main will be constructed by excavating a series of opencut trenches, although when work is required in the highway the contractor will be considering crossing in two halves, utilising traffic management, or using trenchless pipework installation methods to maintain access and minimise disruption. We will notify you in advance of the work if you will be directly affected.
Pipeline construction is estimated to commence in Jan 2022
