Good afternoon, and Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

We are pleased to let you know that following the successful installation of the new Rising Main pipeline, we can now commence with de-mobilising our site compound that is currently located on Aislaby Road. From next week, our site cabins will be taken away and a temporary welfare unit will be put in place for our site team while we carry out the remaining reinstatements.

We will be topsoiling and removing the fencing at Lartington Way which should be complete by week commencing 15th January. This area will then be re-seeded in the Spring.

Once we have completed our work in your area, residents nearby should receive a letter with more information. The letter will also be shared on here.

As always, thank you for your continued patience and support.

Good afternoon,

I am pleased to let you know that we have now complete installing the full length of the rising main pipeline from Aislaby Road up to Allens West Train Station (1635m of pipeline). The transition from the existing pipeline to the new pipeline has successfully been complete and is now fully operational! Prior to Christmas, the team will be clearing the existing rising main and it will then be capped off.

The recent weather conditions have unfortunatley prevented us from being able to complete the reinstatement work along the route of the pipeline. I'd like to reassure you that once we return to work in the New Year, we will be continuing with topsoiling and leveling out our working areas. This will then allow our subcontractor to come and re-seed the grassed areas in the Spring.

The team will commence with de-mobilising the site compound area in January. Please be extra vigilent if you are visiting Aislaby Road during this time as we will have large wagons coming to and from site whilst we remove the cabins and site materials. We will be sending out communications to nearby properties in the new year.

The site will be closing down for the Christmas break from Wednesday 20th December until Tuesday 2nd January.

On behalf of the project team, we would like to thank you for your continued patience this year and we hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

Good afternoon,

Just a quick update on whats been happening on site over the past month. Although the recent storms have been working against us, we are continuing to progress well.

The team are currently in the process of demobilising our site compound at Lartington Way ready for reinstatements and top soiling to commence. During this time, you may notice an increase in vehicles taking material from this area. We have arranged a road sweep to maintain this area to ensure the roads are kept clean and tidy.

We are aiming for the final connections in the rugby field and at Allens West to be complete within the next two weeks.

I will be posting another update in the upcoming weeks, so keep a look out.

Thank you for your continued patience.

Update by Anya Lowes

Good morning,

It has been a busy month on site and work has been progressing well since our last update.

The team have now installed the full length of the pipe which is 1645m of pipeline. The drilling work underneath the A67 that was mentioned in our last update was completed successfully. I have included some photos and a video of the directional drilling below. The final connections are yet to be carried out at Allens West Station and the Rugby Pitch on Aislaby Road.

We are pleased to let you know that we have completed our work within the Rockwill development, and the reinstatements have been carried out.

Currently, the team are building air valve 1 in the compound field, and air valve 4 at Lartington Way.

After liaising with the rugby club, we have offered and agreed to extend their car park which will reduce the number of parked cars along Aislaby Road.
We will also be reinstating the running track in Egglescliffe school field which will be finished mid-October.

I've included some photos for you to look over. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below and a member of the team will get back to you.

Good afternoon,

It's been just over a month since my last update, work on site is continuing to progress well. Around 883m of pipeline has now been installed. I have included a plan which has the approximate location of where the pipeline has been installed here.

Next week, we will be commencing the drilling work underneath the A67 bringing the pipeline from the housing development, into our working area at Lartington Way. Using directional drilling under the A67 means that we won't need to implement a traffic management system, minimising any potential disruption. Once the work in this area starts, please be aware that it will be busier than usual between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday, so please take extra care. I have attached the letter that was sent out to near by properties in our most recent post.

I've included some photos for you to view. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below and a member of the team will get back to you.

Speak soon.

Hello!

Just a quick update regarding some amendments to our working hours at Lartington Way.

With the aim of reducing the length of time working in Lartington Way and minimising disruption affecting local residents, we will be extending our working hours from 7.30am until 6pm, Monday to Friday. Please be assured that machinery will not be started up until 8am however, you may notice the site team preparing for the day before this time.

Letters have been sent out to surrounding properties. You can view this letter here.

If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment below and a member of the project team will get back to you.

Thank you for your continued patience during this time.

Good afternoon,

I hope you're well, and have been enjoying this lovely weather!

In our last update I mentioned that 596m of pipeline had been welded together ready to be installed in the Rockwill Development. The team have now installed 140m of this pipeline using a method called directional drilling. I have mentioned drilling in most of my updates, but just in case you were wondering how this works; Directional drilling is less intrusive than digging a trench, and involves digging chambers either side of where the pipe will be laid and feeding the pipe underground from one chamber to the other.

We will be carrying out some trial holes on the verge of the A67 on Wednesday 28th June to try and locate a gas main. We don't anticipate this to cause any disruption to road users and pedestrians however, if you do require any assistance our team will be happy to help.
You will have now seen our working area set up in Lartington Way. The top soil has been stripped, and the stone has been laid ready for welding this section of pipeline. We appreciate this area is popular with dog walkers, so as a little thank you for putting up with us, the site team have created a 'doggy station' for our four legged friends to enjoy some treats and water. We've had plenty of visitors and the lads have loved meeting you all!

Finally, we just wanted to let you know that we will be starting to lay pipeline in Egglescliffe School Field from late July. The team have commenced setting up our working area. We will initially be accessing this area via Lartington Way, and then as work progresses, we will be accessing this area from Durham Lane adjacent to Allens West.

As always, if you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment below and a member of the project team will get back to you.
