Project updates

Update by Christine Taylor

Hi all,

As you will of noticed we have now left site.

I am sure you will all be aware that whilst we were on site, our team came across numerous problems within the ground.

We are pleased to advise that all the drainage works are now completed.  We have removed the site cabins, surfaced all areas of highway and footpath affected by the works and reinstated all verges. The grassed area, with the agreement of the local authority has been seeded with ‘Meadow Grass’ which will result in wildflowers. It will take time for the seed to develop on the verge so please be patient and allow nature to take its course.

If anyone would like further information please do not hesitate to comment to this post and I will get back to you.

Have a great weekend

Christine

Hi

As you can see the work is still going on, not much to update.  We have suffered from the rain, as this has made the ground very wet and difficult to manage.

Our team are working hard to work to the schedule but as you will appreciate ground conditions are making this difficult, we will keep you updated of our progress in the next week.  Our site team will be working tomorrow morning until lunch time.

We have now got the posters from the local children from Redhall Primary School and will be organising their visit to site very soon.

Hi everybody,

We are still encountering the difficult ground conditions I mentioned last week, so to help with progress we have brought in additional machinery. Due to this we will again be working Saturday, but hopefully this week it will be in glorious sunshine. I will keep you updated with further reports during the coming weeks.

Have a good weekend everybody and enjoy the sunshine.

Hi everybody,

Well the weekend is here again, although it looks too cold to be going anywhere.

Just a quick update on progress, we are still encountering the difficult ground conditions that I mentioned last week, but that aside we are managing to make progress.

Just to let you know we intend to work again this Saturday as mentioned in earlier updates.

Enjoy the weekend everybody

Hi all

Just  a quick update on our progress over the last week, we have continued to install the new sewer but unfortunately this has been slower than we would have liked due to difficult ground conditions.

We have encountered a lot of sand and water which when mixed together makes our job hard but we now have a plan in place to overcome these difficulties and hope to make some good progress. As a result of this we plan to continue with our saturday working to regain lost time.

Hope you are all looking forward to having a lovely weekend, although the weather forecast isnt great.

Hi

Just a quick update on what is happening on our site.  You will have noticed a lot of activity in the area.

The site team have been working hard to continue laying the new sewer along the River Skerne.  To ensure we get the work completed in a timely manner and away by Spring 2017, we will have a crew working on Saturday until further notice.

Please be assured we will not have any machinery on before 8am and we will be leaving site by 4pm.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.  Any problems do not hesitate to comment on this post and I will respond direct.

See you all soon

Happy New Year!!

Although our site will not be open until Monday the 9th January 2017, I thought I would take this opportunity to wish you all best wishes for the new year.  Myself and Tony have been discussing New Year Resolutions, and I have had to confess to not making any!

Have any of you made any, and if so what are they?

Is anyone brave enough to share....

You never know I may be inspired :-)
