Berco Spennymoor Replacement Sewers

The proposed work will involve relaying approximately 73m of surface water sewer and approximately 68m of foul sewer approximately 7m off-line, mainly in the car park area between Unit 1 Enterprise City and Enterprise House, Spennymoor, with the remainder just beyond the set of security gates North of Enterprise House.

I am pleased to tell you the work has now been completed, the team have demobilised from site and the car park has been reopened. 

In the next couple of weeks there is minor works for ladder installation to some manholes to be carried out.

The site team have encountered further unchartered services in our current working area which have required further investigations to be carried out before we could continue with our works. 

These investigations have now been completed and we are progressing on with the work required.

Good morning, 

We would like to inform businesses within the local area that whilst we have been installing the new drainage system we have encountered a number of exisiting services underground which has impacted on the progress of our work. 

The site team are currently carrying out further investigations and working on a way to overcome this. During this time the work on site will be temporarily suspended until a solution has been found and we can return to continue with the work. 

We apologise for the inconvenience, and hope for this to be resolved as soon as possible.

Good morning and Happy New Year!

As you will be aware we recommenced our works on site from Tuesday 4th January 2022, so I just wanted to provide you all with a quick update.

Over the past few weeks we have carried out excavation works in order for investigations to be carried out on existing services that are within our working areas. These excavations have now been backfilled in order for us to progress with our works.

We have also carried out excavations to allow for trench box supports to be installed between Manhole B and Manhole C. Works carried out at Manhole B are now completed and have been backfilled and reinstated.
