Update by Joan Tatters
Good Morning
Following on from last weeks post I just thought I'd give you some good news!
Last week Sarah and I were chatting to some residents in the Dene area where it was our intention was to close the footpath. We soon realised how precious the path was to the public and how it was heavily utilised. So many lovely people took the time to talk to us, a lot were accompanied with their four legged friends which was also great to see and we thought "lets try and keep this walkway to this area of the Dene open".
After further discussions with the project team considering health and safety assessments, Alex and his team have said they will do their utmost to open up the walkway on an evening and a weekend going forward, however there will come a time the path will need to be fully closed as the work progresses but we will keep you up to speed when we intend to close the footpath entirely temporarily of course, as it goes without saying your health & safety is our priority.
So keep an eye out on the portal and I will be in touch.
Thank you again for your patience.
