The construction phase of this project is now complete.

There may still be updates, so the project will remain here. We are still monitoring the project and will reply to any comments. So if you have any questions please feel free to comment or contact us here.

GENERAL PROJECT

Harrowgate Hill Rising Main

Looking after the environment and reducing the risk of pollution are two of our top priorities. As part of this commitment, we plan to invest within the sewerage network to replace a failing pumping main from Mayfair Road Pumping Station to North Road, Darlington.

Update by Gabrielle Ward

Happy Friday Everyone!

Following on from Peter's introduction and our public event this week, I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce you to our Mott MacDonald Bentley team and post some updates on what to expect over the next couple of weeks.

I am Gaby Ward, Customer Liaison Officer and I will take care of all customer enquiries during the project and you will notice I will be blogging a lot so please feel free to contact me either via the portal or the "Contact Us". I will be out and about as well so please come along and say hello if you see me.

Lee Buchanan is our Contract Manager who will be managing the project, then we have Ben Corner our Site Agent who will manage the day to day operations who will be assisted by Marc Bell the Engineer. Lee, Ben and Marc have many years of experience in the construction industry and we all have worked on various projects together with Northumbrian Water.

I have included our mug shots below for you to put faces to names.

We will be starting on site from Monday 5th July where we will begin to set up our site compound on Lemon Grove adjacent to the existing pumping station. You may notice for the first few weeks that there will be a higher volume of traffic and deliveries. During this time, we kindly ask you stay safe and be extra vigilent with the increase of traffic flow in the area.

We will provide you with regular updates throughout, if in the meantime, you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

Finally, I would just like to thank you for your support so far and say the team and I are looking forward to working in your community.

Enjoy your weekend!
