Update by Joan Tatters
Good Afternoon
We just wanted to update you on the North Morpeth Strategic Sewer project.
Work started on Monday 23 October for a period of up to 8 weeks to complete the construction and commissioning of the sewage pumping station near the Northern Bypass / Fairmoor round-about and install additional drainage on St George’s hospital access road between the ongoing Linden Homes development and the hospital.
We have re-established a temporary compound at the back of the former St George’s hospital site next to the bowling club and carried out enabling work on the verge of the access road in preparation for the resumption of drainage work that commenced this week.
While vehicular and pedestrian access to the hospital will be maintained at all times, it will be necessary to install temporary traffic lights on the hospital access road for a short period to allow drainage work to progress.
As before we will send you regular updates on the progress of the work and if you do have any queries please let me know.
