Project updates

Update by Anthony Birkett

Hi Everyone

We will be returning to complete the reinstatements on Roman Avenue this week. Firstly, we will remove the solid boarding inside the school fields and replace it with permanent fencing - this will be completed by the end of next week (15 September 2018). Then, from week commencing 24 September 2018, we will reinstate the verge and footpath where we installed the temporary access. This will take up to two weeks so will be completed by Friday 5 October 2018. While we work on the verge in Roman Avenue, parking in the street will be restricted.

As ever, we will endeavour to get the work done as quickly as we can and will soon be completely finished and leave the area.

Update by Alan Croft

Hi

Further to our last update, the works area within the School playing field has been handed back to Park View School for a while now. They are having their contractor undertake the landscaping works. When the landscaping works are complete we will then re-take ownership of the area and remove the solid fencing within the field and indeed the entranceway itself. On our final visit the entranceway and existing fencing will be returned to how it was previously. We are awaiting confirmation from the School when we can return to site. When we are given a return date we will provide an update.

Many Thanks,

Alan

Hi Everyone

We have now completed our work on the access road within the school grounds! I've attached a couple of photos showing the end result and I'm sure you'll agree it looks very good - Well done to Mac and the lads!

We still need to return and complete the reinstatements on the verge on Roman Avenue and will do this as soon as possible. The school need to utilise the temporary access there to install playing fields, so once this is work I done, we will replace the fenceline and reinstate the verge.

See you later in the year!

Hi Everyone

As you will have seen, we're back to complete the reinstatements we planned for the summer holidays! Work is progressing well on the access road and we expect to be finished as planned in the next couple of weeks. We'll keep you updated with progress.

Enjoy your weekend

Update by Anthony Birkett

Hi Everyone

You will have seen that we removed our cabins from site on Friday 15 June 2018. We have finshed work for now, but we are planning be back in the school summer holidays to reinstate the area and create an access track within the school grounds. We will restore the fence, remove the temporary entrance and reinstate the grass on the verge on Roman Avenue. The nature of the remaining work dictates that it is best carried out when the school is shut for summer. We'll be in touch nearer the time to let you know when we will be back on site.

I've attached a few photos of the area as it stands this morning.

Update by Anthony Birkett

Hi Everyone

I've spoken to Mac for an update about our work at Park View. The good news is that we are close to finishing!

All of the construction work is now complete and the cabins will be removed next week (12 June 2018) and there will be no need for any parking restrictions in the street. The hoarding will remain in place until the summer when we will return and complete the access track within the school grounds.

Hi Everyone

We are making good progress at Park View. Last week the cover slab was put on and the new screen was fitted. We also started to form the access track. I've attached a photo showing the screen. We're hoping to make best use of this good weather in the coming days.

Hi Everyone

I've spoken to Mac on site for a brief update this afternoon. We've been busy today, removing a cover slab from the Combined Sewer Overflow(CSO). We had to wait a little while for the correct machinery to do this, but its done now! :-)

I've attached a couple of pictures that have kindly been provided by Mac.

We'll keep you updated as we go

Hi Everyone

I was on site yesterday to get an update from Mac. As per my previous update last week, things are still a little slow on site but we hope to be able to move on from Monday. Rest assured, we are doing everything we can to get the work done.
