Update by Christine Taylor

Good morning,

We at Esh-MWH and Northumbrian Water, along with our collaborative partners, wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.  So what better way than to release some Christmas cheer through a festive video.

I hope you all enjoy watching this, as much as the team did pulling it together.

Merry Christmas

Good morning,

Whilst working in your community we have been supporting the Riverside parkrun.  We approached the parkrun co-ordinators to see if they needed any assistance and if so, what can we do to help.  Since that day back in August, we have worked closely with Ian Goudling providing signage and starting posts.  Some volunteers from our business attended the parkrun one sunny Saturday morning in September, and basically did a take over.  Not only marking the route, but handing out water bottles and breakfast bars for all the runners.  It was a great day.

The signage is now in place, with the map of the route identified.  Alan, our Contracts Manager, has also delivered the starting posts which were in place on Saturday, when me and Alan attended once again.  All the runners wanted to deliver a Christmas message, which we have attached for you enjoyment, along with a selection of photos.

Have a great Christmas.

Update by Christine Taylor

Good morning,

You should have recently received a letter confirming completion of our works.  We asked our customers if they could complete an online survey which is on this portal.  Due to an error this was not shown.  This has now been rectified and is now in place.  It can be found on the blue banner at the top of this screen.

Please feel free to complete our questionnaire.

Once again, we send our apologies for this error.

Update by Anthony Birkett

Hello again!

As you may have noticed, we have put the fencing up today! This now completes our reinstatements in the area, so as long as the grass grows in the verge, we will pack up and leave the area and won't need to return. If the grass doesn't take, then we will return in the spring to try again.

Its like we were never here!

Have a good weekend

Tony

Hi Everyone

The good news is that we are now in a position to install the fencing on Roman Avenue!

We have received our delivery, so we will complete the fence line tomorrow (Thursday 18 October). The work should be complete the same day, so baring any unexpected complications, we should be comlpetely finished the reinstatements by the end of this week!

At last!

Can I once again thank you for your patience and understanding while we have completed this work.

Thanks

Tony

Update by Anthony Birkett

Hi Everyone

As you can see, the verge, kerb and road surface and road markings on Roman Avenue have now been completed.

Assuming the seed germinates, we now only need to complete the fencing. This will be delivered as soon as possible and I will keep you updated with when that is expected as soon as we know.

I've attached a couple of photos tha I took this morning

Regards

Tony

**UPDATE**

Last night, I provided a progress update on the reinstatements. We are now experiencing delays in getting the fencing delivered.

We will complete all other reinstatements as planned, then return when the fencing is delivered. This is expected to be no earlier than the end of next week. We will put up temporary fencing in the meantime.

Regards

Tony

Update by Anthony Birkett

Hi Everyone

Work is very close to being completed at Park View!

Yesterday we installed the kerbs along Roman Avenue. Today we are reinstating the topsoil on the verge; we will try to seed the verge with grass and hope that it cultivates, but if not, we will return in the spring to complete this reinstatement. Tomorrow, the resurfacing will be done and then on Thursday, the fencing will be erected. Almost there!

I've attached a few photos of this week's progress

Thanks

Tony

Update by Anthony Birkett

Hi Everyone

As you will be able to see, work is well under way to complete the reinstatements on Roman Avenue.

The removal of the temporary access is very much ongoing and the kerbs will be reinstated on Friday. While we are installing the kerbs, it will be necessary to impose a proirty system on Roman Avenue as we will need to narrow the lane slightly

Early next week our resurfacing contractor will be on site, resurfacing where necessary.

We still plan to finish by Friday 5 October 2018.

We'll be finished soon!

Update by Anthony Birkett

HI Everyone

Work is continuing at Park View. I've been past today to see how we are doing and attach a couple of photos. As you can see, the area has been landscaped and seeded and our fencing and gates removed.

As previously stated, we will soon be reinstating our temporary entrance - returning it to how it was before we arrived, not long til we finish now!

I'll keep you posted with how we are doing.

Regards

Tony
