Update by Sarah Jayne Parvin
Good morning All, I spent time onsite Friday afternoon with Steve in the glorious sunshine, and have an update to provide with the ongoing works.
- We are currently working on chamber 3 (as pictured below), we are at the top level with our concrete pours, and need to complete first lining works, then lift on the top slab cover and carry out final reinstatements.
- We are also in the progress for marking out chamber 2 to start works in this location mid week (WC 4th June 2018).
- Pipetek (Sub-contractor) are also currently robot cutting (trench-less excavation) from the school towards chamber 3 for the new pipe.
Its fair to say the works at chamber 3 has been slower than originally anticipated due to a number of factors such as the existing chamber and concrete base needed to be broken out, plus additional precautions are in place due to the live 500mm water main that runs along side our works, as well as a number of services in the ground which weren't on the plans, this has inevitably slowed things down slightly.
The most important thing to add all this work is carried out to the highest safety standards with the public and work force always front of mind.
We would like to thank you all for your patience!
Sarah
