GENERAL PROJECT

Sharpness Point Rising Main

Working with our framework partners, Esh-Stantec, Northumbrian water will be carrying out work to replace a failing pumping main from Sharpness Point Pumping Station to Percy Park, Tynemouth.

Update by Rachel Rutter

Good Afternoon All,

I am pleased to confirm we are now off Grand Parade with two  way traffic flowing.

Over the last week, the site team have been concentrating on trial pits and investigation work. More trial pits are needed next week on Percy Park Road/Grand Parade junction to determine the best route to install the rising main past the junction.

As the Mouth of the Tyne Festival is coming soon we will be backfilling trenches and removing all of the traffic management next Wednesday 06 July and returning on Tuesday 12th July.

Please contact us direct if you have any questions at nwl.customer@esh.uk.com or 0191 3774500.

Thank you

Rachel
