GENERAL PROJECT

Sunderland Bridge STW Transfer Works

We are investing £2.5 million to ensure the sewer network continues to serve the community effectively in the future; reducing the risk of flooding and pollution in the Sunderland Bridge and Croxdale area. Our partners, ESH Stantec will be undertaking the work on our behalf beginning on 27 September 2021 and will last until 26 April 2022.

Update by Becky Gartland

Hi All,

Hope you had a lovely weekend.

Last week we carried out remedial works in our working area on the Railway Bridge of the A167, this was completed within 1 day.

Work has continued in the area of the treatment works, where the site team have been installing new concrete hard standings and access slabs. This area of work will be ongoing over the coming weeks.

We have also commenced with some material clearing up operations within the compound with the intention of demobilising followed by reinstating the compound over the forth coming weeks.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks

Becky
