HI EVERYONE, MY NAME IS IAN DAVISON AND I AM THE PROJECT MANAGER FOR THE WORK WE ARE PLANNING ON CARRYING OUT IN YOUR AREA.

Northumbrian Water are working with communities to proactively manage environmental risk. We are committed to providing a high quality service and have identified an opportunity to improve our sewer network to reduce the likelihood of an environmental incident within the River Coquet. The pumped sewer which runs in close proximity to the river presents a risk and we are investigating renewing the main and relocating it away from this sensitive watercourse. I know how important the conservation of this area is to residents and visitors, so while this is a delicate project, it will be handled with care and we will be working in partnership with all of our stakeholders to ensure a successful outcome.

Myself and the rest of the project team will be keeping you updated as our plans progress. Notional solution drawings will be posted at the “planned works” tab in due course.
