Tyneside Water Main Cleaning

Our water mains cleaning programme of works has been ongoing now for five years and to date, we have achieved 221km of cleaning works to our mains. There are a number of pipe sections that we still need to clean, with a total length of 9.0km. We are starting this work in August 2018 and anticipate completion in the Apri 2021.

I thought I'd let you know about what is happening regarding my last blog.

Yeah, we were due to start last Monday to complete the reinstatement along Denton Road and I am sure you will have received the letters comfirming it, however Michael and his team were delayed in completing other works at Keilder in Northumberland. I guess it was inevitable there would be a delay as the site restrictions and government guidelines being adhered too as a result of COVID-19.

Our apologies in the delay, the duration of work is still expected to be three weeks and will commence today so you will see some activity this morning. Again we ask to respect the social distance guidance should you be in the area for your daily exercise.
