Planned Work

WHERE WE WILL BE WORKING AND WHAT IT WILL INVOLVE

University Sewage Treatment Works, Hollingside Lane, Durham City.

We will be constructing new assets to ensure that our existing sewage treatment works can treat an increased volume of sewage that will be received following the building of new homes and student accommodation nearby.

All our work is within the existing site boundary.

The work is expected to start April 2021 and complete by March 2022.

Our sewage treatment works aid NWG in improving the quality of rivers and coastal waters for the benefit of people, the environment and wildlife.
