Upgrading the capacity of the sewage treatment works to meet the increased number of customers in the area due to additional new housing and student accommodation. WHERE WE WILL BE WORKING AND WHAT IT WILL INVOLVE
University Sewage Treatment Works, Hollingside Lane, Durham City.
We will be constructing new assets to ensure that our existing sewage treatment works can treat an increased volume of sewage that will be received following the building of new homes and student accommodation nearby.
All our work is within the existing site boundary.
The work is expected to start April 2021 and complete by March 2022.
