Esh Winning Sewer

Northumbrian Water are working in your are to improve our sewer network to reduce the risk of pollution incidents in Esh Winning. The Esh Winning sewer runs in close proximity to the Priest Burn and, at times of heavy rainfall, it can present a risk of pollution to the river. The solution we identified to this includes the installation of a new pumping station in the field opposite South Terrace and a new pipeline along the main road into the sewage treatment works.

Project updates

Update by Christine Taylor

Good morning,

I thought it may be a good idea to give all our customers a quick update.

As discussed in our customer event the works we are planning are subject to Planning Permission.

We are now in the process of obtaining planning and will update the portal once we have a decision.

Lynn Preston is extremely keen that we keep all our customers updated, so we hope to provide this to everyone again next month.

Lets hope the sun continues to shine so we can all enjoy the summer.

Hi

Just a quick note to thank everyone who popped by last week at the csutomer event, it is always nice to meet local residents.

On another note it is rare that our team get together long enough to take a photo, but we actually managed last week.

So I thought I would share a snapshot of our key members of the site team.

None of us are photogenic, so please be nice :-)

Hi

WE ARE LIVE!!!!

We have just had another customer visit who has made us extremely jealous that the weather is lovely.  On that basis, I have decided to make the portal live and interative until 7pm tonight.

This may help anyone who does not want to miss the sunshine.  Just post the question and the team will answer.

We are here if you have questions.

Good afternoon
Our first few visitors have been in to speak to us.  Something that one of our customers has mentioned is the dates of construction on our portal.
These have now been changed from March to August 2018.
We apologise for our lapse, and this is now corrected.  If you notice anything else please drop down to the community event to let us know.
Thank you
Christine

Hi Everyone

My name is Lynn Preston and I am the Northumbrian Water Project Manager for this project.

This project is required to enable an old sewer which now needs regular repairs to be replaced with a new sewer.

We have sent out letters to people in the area to seek their views on the project and are currently collating the responses.

Download the letter here.

We will be back in touch with an update once we have more news.

In the meantime, thanks for reading.
