NIDP FLOODING PROJECT

Haydon Bridge

We are currently undertaking a Stage Two Northumbria Integrated Drainage Partnership (NIDP) study in Haydon Bridge.

Hi,

I'm Elaine Smith, the project manager for the NIDP stage 2 Study in Haydon Bridge.

At the moment we have Atlantic Geomatics carrying out survey work in and around the village so that we can update our hydraulic model of the area. They have 27 cross section surveys, bank top survey and 725m of culvert CCTV survey to carry out over the coming weeks. This survey data will then be added to our existing hydraulic model so that we can start to look at potential options for flood risk reduction.

We also look forward to meeting Parish Councillors again later this month to provide a project update.
