Lynemouth Sewage Treatment Works Upgrade

We are investing over £3 million to improve storm and preliminary treatment at Lynemouth sewage treatment works to improve the quality of effluent discharging to Lyneburn and meet the demands of an increasing population in the wider catchment. Our sewage treatment works aid NWL in improving the quality of rivers and coastal waters for the benefit of people, the environment and wildlife.

Good afternoon, time for the first update of 2023!

Groundwork civils are progressing well with the final foot path around the MCC unit to be poured this week.

Auto de sludge pipe work and concrete base to be complete targeting end of February and we will commence the installation of the electrical side of the project in the coming weeks.

The team are now preparing for the installation of the MCC kiosk and the electrical works, with a view to install the above ground mechanical work once the delivery and installation of the MCC panel is complete towards the end of March.
